Digital India is a flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.
The city of Naldurg has historical and religious significance. It is located on the National Highway 65 (Mumbai-hyderabad-Vijaywada). Hence the city Naldurg is easy to approach from Solapur, Omarga and other major cities in Maharashtra. The city has the famous historical fort which consists of beautiful and legendary waterfall ‘Nar Madi’ and also the famous bastion ‘Upalya Buruj’. Apart from this historical fort, the temple of “Khandoba” is one of the remarkable landmark situated in the city.
The visionary of this area Shri Madhukarrao Chavan, (Ex. Minister, Government of Maharashtra); Late. Shivajirao Patil Babhalgaonkar, (Ex. MLA); Late. Shri Sidramappa Alure, (Ex. In those days, educational facilities were available only at the metropolitan cities like Hyderabad, Pune and Aurangabad. The Sanstha started an institution named Arts, Science and Commerce College, Naldurg that caters the educational needs of the students from poor farmer and farm labour families. Initially the classes of the institute were conducted in the historical Naldurg Fort, till institute has its own land and building. Now the institute is situated on its own 11 acre land with all the infrastructural facilities. It ensures that the students in the vicinity, who are coming from adverse backgrounds, will get education up to post graduation and PhD. With well qualified staff, well equipped Laboratories and enriched library, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and support systems like NSS and NCC, the institute prepares its students to learn thoroughly and accept every challenge set before them, thus fulfilling the dream of the founders of the institute.
