According to Dr. S. R. Ranganathan’s Five Law’s of Library Special Appearance to Fifth Law “Library is growing organism”. Balaghat Shikshan Sanstha’s Art’s, Science and Commerce College, Naldurg started in the year 1971 with 7 teachers and 159 students. And very few books in the library that time but then library take a grow and in the year 1994 on 25th August corner stone revival by Honorable Mr. Madhukarrao Chaudhari (Speaker, Assembly Maharashtra), Dr. Padmasingh Patil, (Minister, Minister for Irrigation and Energy), Dr. Salim Zakeria (Education Minister, Maharashtra State) and Shri Madhukarrao Chavan (MLA, Tuljapur).
The construction of the library building was initiated and completed under the scheme 7th and 8th of the UGC. It’s make the independent building and facilitated reading for student as well as to the staff.
As we said the library started with a very few books but now a day’s library have huge collection with more than 50,000 books, subscribe 22 daily news paper and more than 40 journals/periodicals and other reading material in print format for student, teachers and staff to enhance their knowledge. It means our library day by day growing with very needful and knowledgeable literature and it’s very helpful to our users.
Library has computerized database and make use of standard KOHA software. Implemented and Customized by Softech Solutions & Services| Pune.

Ø The Library gives extra co-operation to Students giving competition examinations
Ø Library displays the cuttings on current topics on the Notice Board
Ø Conduct Book Exhibition Every Year.
Ø BARCODING facility is also available in the library.
Library Rules
Ø Library is open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Ø Book circulation service will be from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Ø Every student should carry his / her own Library card and I-card.
Ø Every student will be issued one books on borrower’s card.
Ø Book will not be issued without identity card and Library card
Ø Student should return the Library books within in a week.
Ø If books are not returned on due date Rs. 1/-will be recovered per day.
Ø Reference books and journals will not be issued on library card.
Ø Reference books will get only to refer in the main library.
Ø If books are found torn, lost then the present price of the book will be recovered.
Ø News paper and Journals should read in reading room only.
Ø Mobile phones are Strictly Prohibited for students.
Ø Staff members should keep their mobiles on silent mode in the library.
Library Timings
- Monday to Friday - 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.
- Saturday - 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Book circulation - 10.00 am to 4.00 pm
- During Examination Period - 7.30 a.m. to 10.00 pm

Library Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee always ensures the various infrastructural facilities in the library. It has advised to take note of the visitors in the register, to make a separate section for news papers, to make separate counters for boys and girls for issuing books, to carry out yearly assessment of the books and insuring yearly return of the books from the faculties.
